Oxfordshire, Multiple Traffic Notices, 20mph Speed Limit

(Aston, Bampton Cote Area) (20 Mph Speed Limit) Order 2022

NOTICE is given that on 12 December 2022 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The order which comes into force on 19 December introduces a 20mph speed limit throughout Aston, Cote, and Bampton, replacing the existing 30mph speed limits in their entirety.

Additionally, on Main Road, Cote - the proposed 20mph speed limit will also be extended south-eastwards by a further 287 metres to cover the access to "Cote Bungalow Farm", replacing the current 60mph National Speed Limit. The Oxfordshire County Council (Aston and Bampton Area) (Speed Limits) Order 2019 is revoked/replaced. (Ascott, Milton, And Shipton-Under-Wychwood
Parishes) (Speed Limits) Order 20**

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order - in order to help improve road safety on local roads following concerns raised by the parish council - is to introduce a 20mph speed limit throughout Milton-under-Wychwood replacing the existing 30mph speed limit in its entirety, leading out of the village to the following points:

1. Bruern Road - a point 98 metres north of its junction

2. with Lyneham Road,

3. High Street - a point 265 metres southwest of its junction with Jubilee Lane,

4. Lyneham Road - a point 237 metres northeast of its junction with Church Road/Bruern Road,

5. Milton Road - the parish boundary at a point 188 metres southeast of Frog Lane.

Additionally, a 310-metre stretch of 20mph speed limit will be introduced on the unnamed road through Upper Milton adjacent to the residential dwellings, in place of the existing 60mph National Speed Limit The Oxfordshire County Council (Ascott, Milton, and Shipton-Under-Wychwood Parishes) (30 Mph Speed Limit) Order 2020 will be revoked/replaced as necessary. Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by the 20 January 2023. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

(South Leigh Parish) (20mph Speed Limit) Order 20**

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order - in order to help improve road safety on local roads following concerns raised by the parish council - is to introduce a 20mph speed limit throughout South Leigh, replacing the existing 30mph speed limit in its entirety, leading out of the village to the following points:

1. Chapel Road - a point 938 metres northwest of its junction with Church End,

2. Stanton Harcourt Road - a point 810 metres southeast of its junction with the unnamed road running north­eastwards to Barnard Gate,

3. The unnamed road running north-eastwards to Barnard Gate - a point 10 metres northeast of its junction with Station Road/StantonHarcourt Road.

The Oxfordshire County Council (South Leigh Parish) (Restricted Roads) Order 2001 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.
