Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Church Hanborough, Church Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 18 July 2022 Coming into force: 25 July 2022 This Order is being introduced because of gas main replacement works which are anticipated to be completed 31 August 2022. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding Church Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.The alternative route for traffic is via Lower Road, A4095, Main Road, Church Road and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. T10232/AC)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Charlbury, The Slade Temporary Prohibition of Waiting & Loading Date of Order: 18 July 2022
Coming into force: 27 July 2022 This Order is being introduced because of drainage repairs and kerb works to be carried out in the highway which are anticipated to be completed 16 August 2022. Works will operate between 07:00 and 19:00hrs. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit waiting and loading in the northern and eastern sections of The Slade. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the prohibition is in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. (Aston, Bampton, Cote Area) (20 Mph Speed Limit) Order 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order - in order to help improve road safety on local roads following concerns raised by the Parish Councils - is to introduce a 20mph speed limit throughout Aston, Cote, and Bampton, replacing the existing 30mph speed limits in their entirety. Additionally, on Main Road, Cote - the proposed 20mph speed limit will also be extended south-eastwards by a further 287 metres to cover the access to "Cote Bungalow Farm", replacing the current 60mph National Speed Limit. The Oxfordshire County Council (Aston and Bampton Area) (Speed Limits) Order 2019 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.
