London Borough of Waltham Forest Permanent Making of Certain Experimental Order (Perm. T18(22) - Exp: T43(20) School Streets Schemes - Pedestrian and Cycle Zone in the Vicinity of Buxton School

E11 The Waltham Forest (Prescribed Routes) (Pedestrian and Cycle Zones) (Amendment No. 4) Traffic Order 2022

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest (the Council) on 21st April 2022 made the above-mentioned Traffic Order under sections 6, 45 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The general effect of the Order will be to continue indefinitely the provisions of: The Waltham Forest (Prescribed Routes) (Pedestrian and Cycle Zones) (No. 2) Experimental Traffic Order 2020; which by way of an experiment created an Order which banned motor vehicles in the vicinity of Buxton School E11 from entering any part of Courtenay Road E11; Jenny Hammond Close E11; Newcomen Road E11; Robinson Close E11; St. Margaret's Grove E11; Terling Close E11; and Woodhouse Road E11; by providing in those roads a pedestrian and cycle zone operating between 8.15 a.m. and 9.15 a.m. and between 2.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays, when signs are shown.

More specific details of the above-mentioned provisions are contained in the notice of making of the original experimental traffic orders advertised in the East London and West Essex Guardian dated 22nd October 2020.
3. All motor vehicles, except permit holders SC10, will continue to be prohibited from entering the pedestrian and cycle zone, specified in item 2. Above.

4. Permits allowing vehicles to enter each pedestrian and cycle zone will continue to be available to residents of and employees of businesses and organisations at premises located within or accessible only from those pedestrian and cycle zone, and to disabled person's badge holders who have a bona fide reason to enter or leave a vehicle in that pedestrian and cycle zone, by application to the Council.

6. Copies of the Order, which will come into operation from 21st April 2022 and all other relevant documents can be inspected until the expiration of a period of 6 weeks from that date on request by either emailing traffic.

7. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the making of the Order, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
