THE MERTON (RESTRICTED ROAD) (NO. *) TRAFFIC ORDER 202* THE MERTON (BUSHEY ROAD) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO. *) TRAFFIC ORDER 202*
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton propose to make the above mentioned Orders under sections 82, 83, 84 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.
2. The general effect of the "Restricted Road" Order would be to revoke the London Borough of Merton (Restricted Road) (No. 1) Traffic Order 2019 and impose a 30 M.P.H speed limit in Bushey Road (A298), from its westernmost extremity to the western kerb-line of Grand Drive, excluding the slip road section of Bushey Road linking Beverley Way southbound and the main arm of Bushey Road, from the western boundary of Nos. 84 and 86 Bushey Road to its junction with the main arm of Bushey Road outside West Wimbledon Primary School which would maintain its 20 M.P.H speed limit.
3. The general effect of the "Speed Limit" Order would be to:
(a) revoke the traffic orders specified in the Schedule to this notice and re-impose their restrictions; and
(b) impose a 20 M.P.H. speed limit in Bushey Road, between the western kerb-line of Grand Drive and its junction with Kingston Road.
4. A copy of the proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including a plan which indicates the road or lengths of road to which the Orders relate can be inspected during the Council's normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at: Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden or on-line at
management/consultations.
5. Any person desiring to make representations or to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds thereof, to the Environment and Regeneration Department, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX or alternatively by email to
quoting the reference ES/BRSL no later than 4th September 2020.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1)
BUSHEY ROAD AND GRAND DRIVE. RAYNES PARK
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate gas main replacement and ancillary works in Grand Drive, Raynes Park, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road and in Bushey Road.
2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to :-
(a) proceed northbound in Grand Drive, Raynes Park, between its junction with the northern kerb-line of Bushey Road and the common boundary of Nos. 35 and 37 Grand Drive; or
(b) turn right or left into Grand Drive from Bushey Road; or
(c) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of Grand Drive specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.
3. During the works, vehicular traffic travelling northbound in Grand Drive will turn left into Bushey Road upon reaching the junction with Bushey Road.
4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
6. Vehicular traffic affected by the northbound closure of Grand Drive should proceed by way of Bushey Road, Beverley Way southbound, Shannon Corner Roundabout, Kingston-By-Pass (A3) northbound, Beverley Way, Coombe Lane, Lambton Road, Worple Road, Pepys Road, Raynes Park Bridge and Approach Road or, if proceeding eastbound on Bushey Road, via Bushey Road eastbound, Kingston Road and Approach Road.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order will come into force on Saturday 22nd August 2020 and it is expected that the works will be completed by Friday 4th September 2020. However, the Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months should further works be required.

PRINCE GEORGE'S ROAD. COLLIERS WOOD
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate sewer cleaning and associated works in Christchurch Road at its junction with Prince George's Road, Colliers Wood, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-
(a) enter or proceed in Prince George's Road, from the eastern kerb-line of Christchurch Road eastward for a distance of 16 metres; or
(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle, in the length of Prince George's Road specified in paragraph 2(a) above.
3. Any designated parking place, situated in the length of Prince George's Road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended for the duration of the works in that length of road.
4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed by way of Tandem Way and Christchurch Road.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order would come into force on Monday 7th September 2020 and it is expected that the works would be completed over 3 nights. However, the Order would remain in force for a period of 12 months should further works be required.

(RYFOLD ROAD. WIMBLEDON PARK)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice thatto facilitate the removal of oilfilled high voltage assets and associated works at the junction of Melrose Avenue and Ryfold Road, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Ryfold Road.
2. During the works no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-
(a) enter or proceed in Ryfold Road, from the north-eastern kerb-line of Melrose Avenue north-eastward for a distance of 20 metres; or
(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle, in the length of Ryfold Road specified in paragraph 2(a) above.
3. Any designated parking place, situated in the length of Ryfold Road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended for the duration of the works in that length of road.
4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order would come into force on Wednesday 9th September 2020 and it is expected that the works would be completed over 6 days. However, the Order would remain in force for a period of 12 months should further works be required.
