The Botanical at Oval Village
Berkeley has unveiled The Botanical, an elegant new show apartment at its landmark development Oval Village in Kennington. Designed to showcase the Serenity at The Pinnacle collection of homes, this showhome has been created by Interiors by Abode and in collaboration with Beefeater Gin; the exciting design discards tradition to illustrate the luxury London lifestyle on offer to buyers at Oval Village.
Sally Watson, Senior Account Manager at Interiors by Abode, comments: “We knew this was a chance to do something different; this is one of the most stand-out designs we have created with Berkeley, we’ve pushed the boundaries and created a home that is truly memorable.
“Our priority for this collaboration with the distillery was to bring the botanical theme forward in a stylish and very modern way. It has influenced our colour palette of lemons and various shades of green, which create a fresh feel, while fruit iconography – used subtly across our décor - has been a fantastic way to reinforce our theme and this special partnership with Beefeater.
We always want our show apartments to have their own personality and charm, and it’s wonderful to be a part of Berkeley’s evolving vision for its showhomes; The Botanical is an inspirational yet relatable home that represents life at Oval Village for buyers.”
Paul Vallone, Divisional Managing Director at Berkeley, comments: “Oval Village is a flagship development where Berkeley is rejuvenating an unloved brownfield site in London into a thriving new place for people to live, work and visit. It was crucial that our showhome reflected this exciting transformation, as well as our commitment to the wider community; the fresh and bold aesthetic and our partnership with our local neighbours Beefeater is just the next step in the evolution of this fantastic scheme.”
Serenity at The Pinnacle offers a selection of exceptional new homes nestled in the heart the development; residents will enjoy the tranquillity that comes from close proximity to and views over Oval Village’s central green and landscaped spaces. Every apartment offers a high specification, an individually designed layout and reflects Berkeley’s impeccable attention to detail.
The wider development comprises a collection of elegant and modern Manhattan, one, two and three-bedroom apartments, public spaces and extensive commercial and retail opportunities including the 76,000 sq ft Oval Work office building.
The tranquil green interconnected spaces are designed by landscape architects Murdoch Wickham. The Central Plaza will feature a living wall of greenery and tumbling roses supported by the frame of the Victorian gasholder which forms the impressive centrepiece and celebrates the heritage of this former gasworks site. The Central Plaza will also comprise a lily pond and other water features, complete with waterfall and a series of steps and bridges to navigate the space. This space significantly extends and builds upon the available public realm in the area, providing much-needed outdoor space.
Residents will benefit from outstanding amenities. An impressive range of health and wellbeing amenities include a state-of-the-art gymnasium and private fitness studio, 18m swimming pool, hydro pool, steam room and sauna; residents can also book a treatment to unwind. A residents’ lounge, with an adjoining meeting room and plush 22-seat cinema room are also available, while a 24-hour concierge service will be located in the lobby of each apartment building to help smooth day-to-day life.
The development provides excellent connectivity, it’s just a six-minute walk to Oval and Vauxhall stations. Oval is on the Northern Line (trains reach Bank in nine minutes), while Vauxhall is on the Victoria line – Victoria can be reached in four minutes and Oxford Circus in eight minutes. Trains from Zone 1 Kennington, a 10-minute walk from the development, stop at the new stations Nine Elms and Battersea Power Station.
Oval Village is positioned next to the famous Kia Oval Cricket Ground and is a short walk from the River Thames. Oval is an established, boutique area with plenty of independent shops, cafés and restaurants, as well as parks.
Prices start from £595,000 for a Manhattan apartment at The Pinnacle. To book a private appointment to view The Botanical, call 020 3797 0025 or visit ovalvillage.co.uk
