Returning for its sophomore year, Festival 14 returns to Canary Wharf for alfresco fun this summer.

With programming to entertain families, friends and Canary Wharf workers, Festival 14 will fill the estate’s plazas parks and open spaces with comedy, theatre, music, dance and street food, with the majority of events free to attend.

Running Wednesday to Sunday, July 26-30, the five-day festival features music acts such as British collective Soul II Sourl, R&B artist Yazmin Lacey, jazz-pop star Laura Misc, DJ Craig Charles and Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra.

Those looking for laughs, can find them with Desiree Burch, Shaparak Khorsandi and Paul Chowdhry who will take the mic in the Monty Tent.

For families who dance together, Big Fish Little Fish Family Raves will be inviting people to cut shapes on Saturday, July 29, on the theatre & family stage, where families can also catch a classical ballet performance of The Princess and the Frog, from Let’s All Dance, and Half Moon Theatre’s Claytime, also a dance performance.

On Wren Landing, Annie Frost Nicolson’s Fandangoe Discoteca will host workshops to help people tackle grief through movement and dance.

Westferry Circus will transform into an intimate outdoor theatre, with free performances by This is My Theatre, Public – The Musical and 440 Theatre.

Jubilee Park will host street performance collective Busk in London, which will provide laid back performances throughout the weekend.

Creative Collective SXWKS will return to Canary Wharf with spoken word performances amplifying underrepresented Black voices, by the likes of educator and author Belinda Zhawi, poet Lanaire Aderemi and emerging music act Brother Portrait.

Canary Wharf’s street food market will run daily in Montgomery Square.
