The award-winning show enters its fifth year and pays host to the world’s leading international design brands and companies
Not all of us can make the annual pilgrimage to Milan to see what’s hot in the world of furniture design at the Salone del Mobile – the interiors equivalent of the international catwalk collections – so thank goodness for Clerkenwell Design Week. Now in its fifth year, it showcases some of the key launches straight from Milan, as well as work by much of our own home-grown talent.
Clerkenwell provides the perfect location for the three-day event as it houses the showrooms of many of the biggest international brands in contemporary design. An added bonus is that some of the fascinating historical buildings in the area provide venues for exhibitors, including St John’s Priory Church and the House of Detention.
