I went to a London brunch with a buffet, live music and a brand-new menu themed around Paris to celebrate the Olympics – and I want to go back.

If you fancy trying a new brunch spot in London, may I direct your attention to TH@51 located in the Taj 51 Hotel in Buckingham Gate.

Offering a wide range of cocktails, bottomless mimosas or Bellini’s for 90 minutes and live acoustic music, it’s no wonder why this spot is always very busy on the weekends.

Currently alongside their regular menu, TH@51 is also offering a Parisian-inspired brunch menu for the summer, to celebrate the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

We first began with some cocktails, which included the Iced 51 - a very impressive sharing cocktail served in a glass handbag with gin, rum, tequila, vodka and orange liquor and a signature tea mixed.

Browsing the menu they definitely had a really wide selection of food options, ranging from a miniature cheeseboard selection to ratatouille crepes, along with their regular brunch options such as Eggs Benedict and Dahl Pandi Chaat.

They also have a buffet that guests can choose from, which has a range of pastries, breads and fruit that you can help yourself to as often as you like.

For starters we choose two dishes, the Garlic Prawns and Mushroom Vol-au-vents, both of which were very good and I really liked the flakiness of the pastry from the vol-au-vents.

For mains, both my friend and I were swayed by the Ratatouille Crepes that came served with a garlic crème sauce.

I really enjoyed the novelty of a savoury crepe which had all the flavour of this popular stew that is a key part of France’s culinary history, and it’s definitely one I would order again.

There were also live musicians playing in the dining room and outdoor courtyard of the restaurant, and they even took a request to play diners' favourites too.

Finally for dessert I went for the Pain Pardu, a traditional French toast served with Bailey’s cream anglaise and berries and jam.

This was such a delicious dessert, the bread was light and spongey and the Bailey’s cream gave it a really nice kick, definitely a winner if you are a lover of Baileys.

Brunch is served at TH@51 on weekends between 12:30pm and 4pm, with two courses priced at £35, or £40 with bottomless drinks, three courses for £45, or bottomless drinks for £60, with the Parisian brunch on offer for the next month.
