As much as I would love to eat lobster whenever I want, my bank account simply can’t handle it – especially in a city as expensive as London.

Which is why I was thrilled to hear about the B&L Bucket and Burger and Lobster.

Included in the bucket is unlimited chips, half a pound of prawns and – the best part – a whole lobster each.

But before we tackled that, we decided to try out some of the starters.

We opted to share the calamari and the lobster croquettes.

The calamari was tender a juicy which is something I was really happy with considering, in my opinion, calamari can be overcooked quite often.

For me though, the croquettes stole the show.

They had tasty chunks of lobster in them and oozed with cheese – what more could you want from a croquette?

Then, we moved onto the bucket.

I have to admit, I was slightly nervous when I saw the size of it but as soon as we started eating, any and all of my worries melted away.

We were given the option to have the lobster steamed, fried or grilled and we went for grilled.

The lobster was cooked to perfection, I was amazed by how tasty it was.

It was tender, sweet and absolutely delicious. I could not believe the amount of lobster I was eating at a restaurant in central London (we were visiting the Knightsbridge branch).

While we were given all of the necessary tools to crack the lobsters open and get the meat out, I really appreciated that restaurant staff had already cracked part of them.

It meant I still got to feel like I was cracking open my own lobster without the stress and mess of starting from scratch.

I had a similar appreciation for the prawns, they had already been peeled which saved me from any of the messy, gruesome peeling process but the heads were left on them so that we could see they were fresh and flavourful.

Alongside all of this delicious fish was a butter sauce that was to die for.

The waiter told us it was a secret recipe that had been served since Burger and Lobster first opened.

Of course, there were the bottomless chips as well.

You are allowed to ask for more and more, but after all of the fish we were stuffed.

All that food costs £95 for two people, which might sound like a lot but when you break down the fact you’re getting your very own lobster, a bunch of prawns and the unlimited chips, I actually think it’s quite reasonable – especially for central London.

We only just managed to squeeze some space for dessert, I was lagging after eating so much food and so went for the affogato for a pick-me-up.

You just can’t beat the combination of creamy, delicious vanilla ice cream with a tasty shot of espresso.

I also tasted my boyfriend’s burnt basque cheesecake which was equally scrumptious.

The décor in the restaurant was cool and relaxing, I felt very at home as we enjoyed our meal.

All of the staff were attentive and polite, it was a brilliant experience and I would 100 per cent go back.
