Renowned makeup artist Yasmin Heinz, who has worked with names like Alek Wek, Dita von Teese, Annie Leibovitz and Rankin, has launched her first international publication, Elements: The Art Of Makeup.
The visually opulent book weaves together the best of fashion, beauty and photography. Divided into four sections, echoing the universe’s four elements of earth, air, fire, and water, highlights how Yasmin uses the human face as a canvas when creating striking looks for photo shoots, runway shows, music videos and advertising campaigns.
‘All four elements need to be present during any process of creation and this book pulled them all together,’ says Yasmin. ‘I love pop art and try to combine it with makeup, it’s the way I express myself. Makeup isn’t revolutionary but I hope my images will make somebody’s day, inspire them and lift them up.’
