Well surprise, surprise, London has the best rooftop bar in Europe.
South London hipster hangout, Frank’s Café has been named the best rooftop bar in Europe.
The bar was plucked from a list of 50 excellent rooftop bars across Europe, put together by Big 7 Travel who collated the list based on social media users and their editorial team’s opinion.
You’ll find Frank’s at the top of a former multi-story carpark in Peckham that has been repurposed to become arts space Bold Tendencies.
Going strong since 2009, the ephemeral warm weather destination is a place for quaffing cocktails by the jug load and getting stuck into seasonal small plates while basking in the glory of London’s inner-city charm.
If you want to know what other bars made the list, here are the top 10 best rooftop bars in Europe, according to Big 7 Travel.
1 Frank’s Cafe at Bold Tendencies, London
2 Azotea del Circulo, Madrid, Spain
3 The Roof at the Reykjavik Edition, Reykjavik, Iceland

If you’re in the City, Sabine and Maddison come with cracking views of St Paul’s Cathedral, or The Rooftop at The Standard, with an equally impressive view, is also another cool kids destination. You’ll find more brilliant central rooftop bars here.
However if you’re looking for rooftop bars near to Frank’s, you’ll find more south London rooftop bars here, including the Bussey Building and Forza Wines, as well as a few great beer gardens and terraces too.
