Plant-based restaurant, Tendril (Mostly) Vegan Kitchen & Bar is opens at its first permanent home with a soft launch deal.

After a successful residency at Soho’s Sun & 13 Cantons, chef Rishim Sachdeva (ex-Chiltern Firehouse, The Fat Duck, The Dairy) found a permanent home for his (mostly) vegan restaurant on Princes Street in Mayfair after he crowdfunded the funds for the venture via Seedrs.

Just off Regent’s Street, the restaurant has been designed in partnership with Haigh & Company and Dapple Studio. The dining room comes with table and bar seating, and can be sectioned off into a private dining space.

Based on ‘joyous discovery’ as the design brief, terracotta and teal compliment natural timber and stone details, while some of the original Georgian features have been retained.

Tendril will continue to serve its inventive menu, with dishes such as white bean spread with chili, garlic and tahini; beetroot ‘nduja parfait with steamed rice cakes and nigella seed crumbs; and smoked peas with pickled wild garlic, mint tabbouleh and rye crumbs.

Also on the menu is the crowd-pleasing no-dairy tiramisu.

Diners can order a la carte or go for the set menu, and there’s a no onion and garlic menu as well.

Wines are vegan too, sourced from European low-intervention producers, and tipples come on tap too.

Tendril (Mostly) vegan Kitchen & Bar will open on Saturday, July 22. It will open with a soft launch deal offering diners 50 per cent off food items from Saturday, July 22 through to Monday, July 24 inclusive.
