Clerkenwell is getting a new wine bar that comes with a whole lot of charm.

Created by Yuma Hashemi, Chef Patron of The Drunken Butler, Emmanuelle is set to be an intimate and exquisitely home-spun affair.

Due to open its doors on Rosebury Avenue in spring, Emmanuelle only has room for 24-seats and is all about small-scale winemakers, new and old world wines and sparking up coversations around the tipple.

Specialist tastings, masterclasses and producer talks will take place throughout the year.

Incorproating the same old-worldly charm as The Drunken Butler's interiors, Emmanuelle will be styled out to resemble an inviting 'lounge room', flecked with Persian influences.

As well as wine, look out for an extensive list of champagnes as well as a negroni heavy cocktail list made with vintage liquers dating back to the 50s.

Foodwise, the home-style kitchen will plate up a daily changing menu of French-style charcuterie snacks and small pates, as well as some traditional Iranian bites like you can find at The Drunken Butler.

As it's across the road from its older sibling venue, the wine bar will also be a pre and post-dinner hang out for The Drunken Butler guests.

Emmanuelle is open for walk-ins only, Tuesday to Saturday, from 6pm.
