1 NOTTO Pasta Bar, Piccadilly
From Michelin starred chef Phil Howard, comes this elegantly simple pasta bar that started life as a pasta delivery service. There's eight pasta dishes on the menu that change with the seasons, as well as a concise selection of antipasti to start with.

2 Hicce Hart, Islington
A new boozer for Islington, and one with a neighbourhood locals feel, but with excellent food. It's the newest venture from the crew behind Hicce in Coal Drops Yard, so expect a high-calibre selection of small plate-style bar snacks along side a refined dining menu. Opens November 18

3 Bacchanalia, Mayfair
Unashamedly ostentatious and extravagant, this new venture by Richard Caring (owner of Annabel's & The Ivy) comes with four Damien Hirst sculptures, Greek and Roman artwork that's more than 2,000 years old, a floor to ceiling mural and Greco-Roman inspired dishes. Opens November 24

4 Saltie Girl, Mayfair
Tinned fish may not sound decadent, but at Saltie Girl, it sure is. The Boston restaurant - which has the biggest supply of tinned fish stocked in a restaurant globally - has opened a location in Mayfair. Even if gourmet canned mackerel served with salted butter and baguettes isn't your thing, Saltie Girl also serves shucked oysters and freshly caught British fish alongside cocktails and new and old world wine.

5 The Arber Garden, Fitzrovia
A new pub, dining room and gin garden by the team behind The Lighterman and The Broadcaster, that adjoins the delightful Fitzrovia Chapel. There's a garden oasis, good for every season and and a menu of small plates and modern British cuisine.

6 Cycene, Shoreditch
Multi-purpose culture hub, Blue Mountain School have opened the measured fine-dining restaurant, Cycene, with Chef Theo Clench (Ex-Akoko & Portland). Designed to feel like you're dining in a home, all dinners start at the ground floor bar, where the first of Theo's 10-course menu is served - before guests head up stairs to the main dining room for the rest of it. Expect delicate and precise dishes such as the Devon crab, genmaicha and kombu tartlet, and things cured, smoked, aged, house-pickled and fermented.

7 Elis, Shoreditch
The second restaurant from Brazilian chef behind 2 Michelin star De Terra, Rafael Cagali, housed in Shoreditch's impeccable Town Hall Hotel. Paying homage to his Brazilian-Italian roots, Elis serves up the likes of short rib pappardelle and crab linguini verge in a relaxed yet intimate dining room.
