Conjuring up the decadence of ancient Roman feasts, the soon to open Bacchanalia in Mayfair is next level...
Lead Image: Bacchanalia
The latest restaurant by the owner of The Ivy and glitzy members club Annabel's is styled out to look like ancient Greece and comes with Damien Hirst artworks.
It's extra, but you'd expect that from Richard Caring.
Opening in Mayfair from November 24, Bacchanalia is an extravagant and decadent affair with interiors created by Martin Brudnizki (who also did the interiors for Annabel's and The Ivy).

It has as dining hall that features four Damien Hirst statures, hand-painted ceiling murals and a collection of Greek and Roman artworks that date back 2,000 years.
Also in the dining room, a floor to ceiling mural by Gary Myatt, interpreting 'Romans In Their Decadence'
It's enough to make you want to don a toga, binge eat and purge, however, no doubt Bacchanalia does things a little more classy than actual ancient Romans.
The kitchen, helmed by Athinagoras Kostakos, prepares Greco-Roman-inspired fare that will be so sumptuous, you'll want to keep your meal down.
For an additional touch of flamboyance and theatre, chefs will finish preparing the dishes at the table, adding the final embellishment and flair in front of your eyes.
Naturally, the wine list is long and refined, boasting more than 650 drops from new and old world regions.
There's also a private dining room Artemis on the mezzanine level and Apollo's Muse, another private members' club for London.
Bacchnalia opens on Thursday, November 24 and bookings are open now.
