Temporary Closure of Public Footpath 7, Mosterton

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic [Temporary Restrictions] Act 1991. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along part of Footpath W35/7, from grid reference ST 458 055 and grid reference ST 457 055, for a distance of approximately 140 metres. The order is needed to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 20 May 2019 for a period of 26 weeks. But it may be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.
This closure is required to allow the construction of houses on the site which the
footpath crosses.
