WAKEFIELD STREET N18 - TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate essential utility works on Wakefield Street N18, the Council of the London Borough of Enfield propose to make the Enfield (Wakefield Street N18) (Temporary Restriction of Traffic) Order 2019 under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The effect of the Order would be to prohibit traffic;

i) from entering and proceeding on Wakefield Street, at its junction with Raynham Road and;

ii) from waiting and loading from the existing waiting restrictions for approximately 20 metres from its junction with Raynham Road, on both the eastern and western sides, as and when directed by signage.

3. The prohibitions referred to in paragraph 2 above would not apply to works persons or, if the works allow, to police or emergency services personnel.

4. The prohibitions would come into operation on 20 May 2019 between the hours of 8am- 5pm for 2 days or until works are completed. Access would be maintained for residents as far as the works allow.
