PUBLIC CONSULTATION
PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT OF THE TINBERGEN BUILDING
OXFORD
The University of Oxford invites you attend a public consultation to view proposals to redevelop the site of the Tinbergen Building | to create a new, world-class centre for life and mind sciences.
We propose to demolish the existing Tinbergen Building, on the corner of St Cross Road and South Parks Road, to make way for a new Life and Mind Building that will act as a gateway to the University's Science Area.
As part of this redevelopment, various enabling works are proposed in relation to adjacent and adjoining buildings, as well as infrastructure works and the demolition of the current building. We intend to submit a planning application to Oxford City Council for these in July 2019, followed by a planning application for the replacement building in
late 2019.
At the consultation event we will set out our proposals for and invite your feedback on the enabling and demolition works and the emerging design for the new building. All feedback received will be taken into careful consideration in progressing the scheme.
The public consultation sessions will take place as follows:
