Notice is hereby given that on 2 April 2019 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be as follows: Order 1 - To revoke The County of Wiltshire (A338, Tidworth) (Restricted Roads) Order 2002 and re-enact it in part to take account of the proposed 40mph speed limit in Order 2 below. Order 2 - To introduce a 40mph speed limit on the following lengths of road: A3026 Ludgershall Road - from a point adjacent to the western boundary of No.1 Beech Hill Road to a point approximately 178 metres in a north easterly direction; A338 Pennings Road -from a point 90 metres north of its junction with Connolly Way to a point 20 metres south of the tank crossing opposite Elden Road; Link Road between A338 and A3026 - from a point 20 metres east of its roundabout junction with A338 Pennings Road to a point 20 metres west of its junction with A3026 Ludgershall Road. Order 3 - To introduce a 7.5 tonnes weight limit (with no exemptions) on A3026 Ludgershall Road - from its junction with the A338 to a point 18 metres west of its junction with Ebble Close. Order 4 - To introduce a 7.5 tonnes weight limit (exceptfor access) on the following lengths of road: A346 High Street, Collingbourne Ducis (south bound only) -from its roundabout junction with the A338 to its junction with C21 (Shaw Hill to Cadley Road); A342 Butt Street/High Street, Ludgershall -from a point 25 metres east of its junction with the former access to Drummond Park to a point 11 metres north of its junction with Levell Court; Deweys Lane, Ludgershall -from its junction with the A342 to its junction with Byron Close; Chapel Lane, Church Lane, Crown Lane and St James Street (all within Ludgershall) - the complete lengths. A copy of the Orders and plans may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Any person aggrieved by the Orders and desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
The Orders will come into operation on 15 April 2019.
