MALDON DISTRICT COUNCIL THE DISTRICT OF MALDON (OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2019
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Maldon District Council in exercise of its powers under Section 32 & 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the 1984 Act”) and part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers and with the consent of Essex County Council given in accordance with Section 39(3) of the 1984 Act and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 of the 1984 Act propose to make the above Order. The effect of the Order is to introduce Monday to Friday pay & display car parking charges in part of the Council Offices car park, Princes Road, Maldon. The charges will be Monday to Friday between 8am to 5pm - up to 1 hour £1.00, up to 2 hours £1.30, up to 3 hours £1.80, up to 4 hours £2.40 and £4.00 for all day. The charges for Saturday and Sunday remain unchanged. The proposal will consolidate the 2009 Consolidation Order and subsequent variations into one document. Copies of the proposed Order together with a copy of this Notice and a Statement of Reasons for proposing the Order are available in the Council Offices, Princes Road, Maldon where they can be inspected during normal office hours, or online at www.maldon.gov.uk If you wish to object to the proposed Order or write in support of it you should either send an e-mail to parkingservices@maldon.gov.uk or write to the undersigned stating the reasons for your objection or support by 6th June 2019.
