Temporary Closure of Various Roads, Wareham
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Various Roads, Wareham as listed: WAREHAM
[a] Frome Road fromthe junction with Stowell Crescent to the junction with Shirley Close. [b] Hardy Road from the junction with Stowell Crescent. [c] Barnes Road from the junction with Shirley Road. [d] Shirley Road between both junctions with Stowell Crescent. [e] Stowell Crescent from the junction with Shirley Road to the junction with Worgret Road. [f] Encombe Road from the junction with Worgret Road. [g] Causeway Close from its junction with Northport. [h] Northport from from the junction with Saxon Roundabout to the junction with Sandford Lane. [i] Johns Road from the junction with Carey Road. [j] Carey Road from the junction with Bere Road to a point 150 metres to the west of Westminster Road. [k] Walls View Road from its junction with West Mills Crescent to its junction with Carey Road and its junction with Carey Close. [l] West Mill Crescent from the junction with Walls View Road. [m] Link From Wessex Oval to West Mills Crecent. [n] St Marys Close from the junction with Wessex Oval. [o] Wessex Oval from the junction with Carey Road. [p] Humber Chase from its junction with Carey Road. [q] Egdon Road from the junction with Bere Road to the junction with Mistover Road. [r] Mistover Road from the junction with Carey Road to the junction with Mellstock Crescent.[s] Carey Close from its junction with Walls View Road. Convoy working traffic management systems will be in place on [a] Sandford Lane from its junction with Northport to a point 850 metres to the east. [b] Northmoor Way in its entirety including the links roads from Bere Road and A351 Wareham Bypass. The order is needed in orderto comply with Health and Safety Regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 23rd April 2019 and will remain in force for 18 months However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 14th May 2019. Please note the closures will be in operation, as and when indicated by signs on site. Advanced warning signs will be placed on the road in advance of the closure to indicate the exact dates the closure will affect the road. This order will enable Dorset County Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
