(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.

1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle or cycle to proceed over that length of Gregson Lane, Brindle travelling for approximately 20 metres in either direction from Mintholme Level Crossing in the Chorley Borough.



2. The prohibition will be operative from 2300 hours on Saturday 13th April 2019 until 0730 hours on Sunday 14" April 2019 or until completion of the works within this period. Access will be maintained for pedestrians.



3. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-



Gregson Lane - Daub Hall Lane - A675 the straits - Blackburn Old Road - A675 Hoghton Lane - B5256 Sandy Lane -Hillhouse Lane

The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow annual level crossing testing works to be carried out.
