AUDIT OF ACCOUNTS NOTICE OF PUBLIC RIGHTS AUDIT COMMISSION ACT 1998 SECTIONS 15 AND 16 ACCOUNTS AND AUDIT (ENGLAND) REGULATIONS 2011 REGULATIONS 9, 10, 21, 22 and 24

NOTICE is given pursuant to section 15 of the Audit Commission Act 1998 that during the periods and times specified below: - Tuesday 30th June 2015 to Tuesday 28th July 2015 between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. any person interested may inspect, and make copies of the accounts of the County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Authority for the year ended 31st March 2015 and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating to them. The accounts and other documents will be available for inspection at the offices of the Treasurer, County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Authority, Belmont Business Park, Durham, DH1 1TW. NOTICE is also given that on or after Tuesday 30th June 2015 at 10.00 a.m. untilthe completion of the audit, the Auditor, at the request of a local government elector of the area to which the accounts relate, will give the elector or his representative an opportunity to question him about the accounts, and that any such elector or his representative may attend before the Auditor and make such objections as to any matter in respect of which the Auditor could take action under Section 17 or 18 of the Audit Commission Act 1998 (namely an unlawful item of account, failure to bring a sum into account, or a loss or deficiency caused by wilful misconduct), or could make a report in the public interest. Questions may be received at Mazars LLP, Rivergreen Centre, Aykley Heads, Durham, DH1 5TS, by arrangement with the Director, Mr. C. Waddell of Mazars LLP, to whom requests for this purpose should be addressed. No objection may be made unless the Auditor has received written notice of the proposed objection and the grounds on which it is to be made. A copy of the notice must also be sent at the same time to the Treasurer, County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Authority, Belmont Business Park, Durham, DH1 1TW. C.
