Temporary Closure of Clearmont Road & Verne Road, Weymouth
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along CLEARMONT ROAD & VERNE ROAD, WEYMOUTH. [1] Verne Road, West Side junction of Triangle at the junction with Buxton Road. [2] Clearmont Road from the junction with Buxton Road to approximately outside no 5 Clearmont Road, a distance of approximately 25 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 25th February 2019 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 6th March 2019. This order will enableJDT Utilities on behalf of SGN safe access to undertake gas mains replacement work, along with the closures removing the need for temporary multi way signals on Buxton Road throughout the works.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; Clearmont Road - Southdown Road - St Martins Road - St Davids Road - Rylands Lane - A354, Buxton Road. The reverse route applies.

Temporary Closure of Freemantle Road & Nutgrove Avenue, Weymouth
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along [1] Freemantle will be between Nutgrove Avenue and the junction with Southcroft Road. The closure of [2] Nutgove Avenue will be between the junction with Littleview Road and the junction with Freemantle Road. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on [1]from 11 March 2019, to the 20 March 2019 and for [2] from 28 March 2019 to the 10 May 2019. This order will remain in force for 18 months. This order will enable Wessex Water, safe access to install a new foul sewer and
associated infrastructure.
An alternative vehicular route for [1] will be signed using; Southcroft Road -Nutgrove Avenue.
An alternative vehicular route for [2] will be signed using; Freemantle Road -Southcroft Road.
