This proposal seeks the replacement of three sets of folding doors in the basement, like for like, and the replacement of two sets of fixed pane windows with single opening doors, to become two sets of folding doors, visually like-for-like, in our modern side extension. The basement, which has been undergoing repairs to the waterproofing and internal fit-out (see approved internal layout alterations 18/1740/LBC), has old, poorly insulated bi-folding doors. We seek to replace these like-for-like with more thermally efficient bi-folding doors. The side extension, now used as a games room, was converted from a workshop about 15 years ago, and is single storey. Two sides have near full height glass windows and doors - a single opening door and fixed pane windows, with dark grey metal frames. We would like to alter these to bi-folding doors of greater thermal efficiency, with the same look - dark grey colour and same number of panels.
