PROPOSED TYNE AND WEAR QUALITY CONTRACT SCHEME (QCS) FOR BUSES PUBLIC NOTICE OF ORAL EVIDENCE HEARINGS

This notice is to advise all interested parties that the QCS Board convened under section 126A of the Transport Act 2000 will hold oral evidence sessions to consider the proposed scheme at the Newcastle Falcons, Kingston Park, Brunton Road, Kenton Bank Foot, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE13 8AF on the following days; 13 – 17 July 2015 commencing at 10.00 am on Monday 13 July and 9.30 am on each subsequent morning.The hearings will then continue at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland, SR5 1SU on the following days: 20 – 24 July 2015 commencing at 10.30 am on Monday 20 July 2015 and 9.30 am on each subsequent morning. The sessions are due to finish at 17.00 each day but this is subject to change and may continue until 18.00 should this be necessary. The sessions will involve Nexus, Stagecoach, Arriva North East and Go North East and Unite the Union. Sessions will be held in public although some confidential evidence may be given in private. Anyone intending to attend the oral evidence sessions are advised to contact the QCS Board at qcs@otc.gsi.gov.uk to confirm times and dates prior to the dates.
