Various Roads, Dorchester-Traffic Management Scheme
This notice provides details of the Traffic Regulation Order for the proposed prohibition of waiting and advertisement of the proposed construction of a raised table.
1. Dorset County Council proposes to make an Amendment Order to 'The County of Dorset (Various Roads in the District of West Dorset) (Consolidation of Orders made for the Regulation of Traffic) Order 2014', under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), and I24(l)(d) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ('the Act of 1984') and Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of Part IV of Schedule I of the Act of 1984 and of Regulation 21 of Part IV of The Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 ("1996 Regulations") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with statutory requirement and in compliance with the 1996 Regulations.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a new length of 'No waiting at anytime' along Princes Street, Dorchester.
2. Under Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 Dorset County Council hereby gives notice that it proposes to construct a raised table in Princes Street and West Walks

Road, Dorchester.
The raised table will be constructed to the Department for Transport specification, which specifies a maximum height of 100mm above general carriageway level. Full details of the proposed no waiting at anytime restriction is contained in the Draft Order which, together with a plan showing the length of road affected and the location of the proposed raised tables along with a statement of the County Council's reasons for proposing this traffic management scheme, may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at:
