LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(GRIMEFORD LANE, ANDERTON,

CHORLEY BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.

1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle or cycle to proceed over that length of Grimeford Lane, Anderton from Grimeford Lane at the junction with Bolton Road travelling south bound for approximately 50 metres.



2. The prohibition will be operative from 0930 hours on Monday 25th February 2019 until 1700 hours on Monday 18th March 2019 or until completion of the works within this period. Access will be maintained for pedestrians.



3. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-



Blackrod Bypass Road - Railway Road - Bolton Road - Chorley New Road -□e Havilland Way

The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow water utility works to be carried out.
