CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), in respect of each of the locations.

H) GOODRAMGATE. YORK

This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Goodramgate, York between its junctions with Ogleforth and College Street (closed road) during the period commencing at 2100hrs on the 10th day of February 2019 and ending at 0400hrs on the 13th day of February 2019 (works period) or at a time and date when sewer works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the restrictions will only be put in place over night between 2100hrs and 0400hrs on each night during the works period. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period. (2) FULFORD FOOTPATH NO. 5/1/40 & FULFORD FOOTPATH NO. 5/4/20. FULFORD

This Order will prohibit pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in the public footpaths known as Fulford No. 5/1 /40 and Fulford No. 5/4/20 (closed footpaths) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 18th day of February 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on the 18th day of March 2019 (works period) or at a time and date when nearby tree felling works being undertaken have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the restrictions will only be put in place for three days during the works period. No alternative route for diverted pedestrians and traffic will be signed during the works period.

(3) THE STONEBOW/PAVEMENT/FOSSGATE/MERCHANTGATE. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting those lengths of

(i) The Stonebow, York between its junction with Garden Place and Fossgate;



(ii) Pavement, York including its junction with Coppergate, Parliament Street and Piccadilly; (iii) Fossgate, York and (iv) Merchantgate, York including its junction with Walmgate (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 18th day February 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on the 14th day of April 2019 (works period) or at time when carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally, the 'ONE WAY1 direction of traffic flow in Colliergate is reversed during the period between 2030hrs on Monday 25th March 2019 and 0500hrs on Sunday 31st March 2019 to allow one-way traffic flow in a northerly direction in the said road when the overnight closure of the Pavement is put into effect. It is envisaged that the prohibition on vehicles proceeding and waiting in the closed roads will only be put into effect between the following times and dates (inclusive) at each location during the works period:



(i) The Stonebow, between 0001 hrs on Monday 18th February 2019 and 2400hrs on Sunday 31st March 2019;



(ii) Pavement between 2030hrs on Monday 25th March 2019 and 0500hrs on Sunday 31st March 2019;



(iii) The junction of Pavement, Coppergate, Parliament Street and Piccadilly between 2030hrs on Monday 1st April 2019 and 0500hrs on Sunday 7th April 2019;



(iv) Fossgate and Merchangate including its junction Walmgate between 2030hrs on Monday 1 st April 2019 and 0500hrs on Sunday 14th April 2019.



An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period. During the closure of The Stonebow the camera enforcement on Coppergate will be suspended.

(41 SPENCER STREET. YORK

This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Spencer Street, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 0800hrs and ending at 1600hrs on the 19th day of February 2019 (works period) or at time when water works being undertaken thereon, have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(51 STRENSALL NO. 3 LEVEL CROSSING. STRENSALL This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding through the Strensall No. 3 Level Crossing on Lords Moor Lane, Strensall (closed road) during the period commencing at 2330hrs on 22nd day of February 2019 and ending at 0600hrs on the 23rd day of February 2019 (works period) or at time when track maintenance works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via The Village, York Road, Ox Carr Lane, Flaxton Road, Lords Moor Lane and vice versa.

The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
