Light thin to remove the stubs and any defective branches, the lowest 5 limbs from ground level only. - Reduce by 1.5 to 2 metres to balance form and crown thin canopy by 10% to remove dying branches and crossing limbs. Limbs have fallen from the tree when there was no wind or external factors. If the limbs had fallen in the road this could have caused serious damage.
