A copy of the draft Order (including the exemptions contained within it), a plan showing the roads and area affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order may be inspected at the reception desk at the address below during normal office hours.

Objections to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made must be made in writing and sent to Highway Network Management, 3 Knowsley Place, Duke Street, Bury or by email to traffic@burv. gov.uk quoting reference TM2/18/444 by 22 February 2019. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (LANCASTER DRIVE, WALMERSLEY) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2019 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-

Lancaster Drive, Walmersley - Temporary Road Closure

The closure will come in to place to enable remedial gas works to be undertaken in the carriageway

Alternative route will be via Palatine Drive, Walmersley Road, Walmersley Old Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into operation on Monday ll-Feb-19 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 1 month, (Anticipated duration of works - 11 days)
