LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(A59 WHALLEY CLITHEROE BYPASS, CLITHEROE, RIBBLE VALLEY BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2019 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council Intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.

1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of A59 Whalley Clitheroe Bypass, Clitheroe from its junction with A671 Whalley Road to its junction with A671 Pimlico Link Road in the Borough of Ribble Valley.



2. The prohibition will be operative nightly from 1900 hours to 0600 hours on the dates specified below or until completion of the works within this period;



i. Saturday 9th February 2019 to Sunday 10th February 2019



ii. Saturday 16th February 2019 to Sunday 17th February 2019



iii. Saturday 23rd February 2019 to Sunday 24th February 2019



iv. Saturday 2nd March 2019 to Sunday 3rd March 2019



v. Saturday 9th March 2019 to Sunday 10th March 2019



3. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-



A671 Whalley Road - A671 Waterloo Road - A671 Chatburn Road - A671 Pimlico Link Road and vice versa.

The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow major highway development works to be carried out.
