Catherine Street, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order

Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U80334, Catherine Street, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U80334, Catherine Street, Hereford, from the entrance of Swift Motors to The Family Furnishers Limited Building. Grid Ref: 351123 / 240260. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Widemarsh Street onto Conningsby Street onto Canal Road onto Catherine Street and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to private sewer connection works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 4th of February 2019 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 2 weeks.
