Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1072, Duke Street, Kington, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1072, Duke Street, Kington, between N.o 1 Duke Street and the junction with Market Hall Street. Grid Ref: 329782 / 256676. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Victoria Road onto the A44 onto Headbrook onto Bridge Street and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to customer connection works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 4th of February 2019 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 night.
