LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(11
BUSHEY ROAD. RAYNES PARK (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2019
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate shared-use footpath widening and associated works in Bushey Road, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict traffic in the said road.

2. During the worksi­te) no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(i) proceed at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour in Bushey Road, the westbound lanes, from its junction with Martin Way to its junction with Grand Drive;

(ii) wait, load or unload in the length of Bushey Road, the westbound lanes, specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above;

(b) no person will proceed or cycle in the footway on the south side of Bushey Road, between its junction with Martin Way and its junction with Grand Drive.
3. The restrictions will apply only during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

5. Pedestrians and cyclists affected by the footway closure may proceed via the footway on the north side of Bushey Road.

6. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(b) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

7. The Order will come into force on Monday 7 January 2019 and it is anticipated that works will be carried out over four weeks. However, the Order will remain in force for 6 months should further works be required.

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate Thames Water pipe replacement works in various roads, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicles from waiting or parking in the roads specified in the Schedule to this notice.

2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to wait, Including for the purpose of loading or unloading that vehicle, in any of the

roads or lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice.
Any designated parking place situated in the roads or lengths of roads specified in column 2 of the Schedule to this notice will be suspended for the duration of the works. The works will be carried out under a rolling programme of parking suspension to minimise the inconvenience to residents.
The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) (b)
any vehicle being used in the execution of the said works; or anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c)
any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order would come into operation on Monday 7th January 2019 and the anticipated works dates are listed in column 3 of the Schedule to this Notice. However, the Order would remain in force until 31st July 2019 during which its provisions would be re-introduced should further works be required.
