Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers,to make the: A4110 Canon Pyon Road, Hereford, Temporary HGV Restriction Order 2019, to temporarily restrict the use by Heavy Goods vehicles on the A4110 Canon Pyon Road, Hereford, a) From making a left hand turn onto the A4110 (Three Elms Road - Southbound) when travelling westbound on the A4103 Roman Road. b) From making a right hand turn onto the A4103 (Roman Road - Eastbound) when travelling northbound on the A4110 Three Elms Road. The alternative routes for those affected by the proposal will be as follows;
a) For HGVs wishing to turn left off the A4103 into Three Elms Road, to continue travelling westbound on the A4103 to the Credenhill roundabout, then onto A480, then onto the A438.
b) For HGVs wishing to make a right hand turn from Three Elms Road onto the A4103, to make a left hand turn instead and travel eastbound on the A4103 towards the Credenhill roundabout and to return Westbound on the A4103.
The said restriction is required due to water mains renewal works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 7th of January 2019 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 4 weeks.
