Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U80005, West Street, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U80005, West Street, Hereford, between the junction of the A49 and Berrington Street car park. Grid Ref: 350724 / 239986. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via A49 South onto St Nicholas Street onto Berrington Street for East Bound Traffic, or Broad Street onto King Street onto St Nicholas Street onto the A49 North onto the A49 South for West Bound Traffic. The said closure is required due to underground structure maintenance works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 20th of January 2019 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 day.
