DRAFT ENFIELD HERITAGE STRATEGY: MAKING ENFIELD
Notice is hereby given that the Council has published a draft version of Enfield's Local Plan in accordance with Regulation 18 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulation 2012 and a draft Enfield Heritage Strategy for public consultation.
Title of the Documents:
'Towards a New Local Plan 2036 for Enfield' and 'Draft Enfield Heritage Strategy: Making Enfield'. Purpose of the documents: Towards a new Local Plan 2036
Enfield's new Local Plan will be the key planning policy document for the borough. Once adopted, it will contain policies that, together with the London Plan, the National Planning Policy Framework and any related policy and guidance documents, will be used in determining planning applications and will shape how the borough will be developed and regenerated over the next 15 years.
This document is the Regulation 18 draft new Local Plan and is the first of two formal stages to be consulted on as part of the new Local Plan.
Draft Enfield Heritage Strategy: Making Enfield
The Draft Heritage Strategy sets out how the Council proposes to manage heritage over the next five years to 2024. The new Heritage Strategy will be a Supplementary Planning Document to the existing Core Strategy and New Local Plan 2036.

Towards a new Local Plan 2036
The draft Local Plan considers future housing targets and development needs in light of London's growing population and where necessary review and update current planning policies dealing with matters such as the delivery of new jobs, shops, health centres and utilities infrastructure. The Local Plan covers the entire borough.
Draft Enfield Heritage Strategy: Making Enfield
The consultation is asking the public and interested parties to consider whether the Draft Heritage Strategy will deliver the desired vision of conserving and enhancing the borough's heritage.
Representations and responses are being sought to the draft new Local Plan and draft Heritage Strategy. Period within which representations and responses need to be made:
The draft new Local Plan and draft Heritage Strategy will be the subject of a 12-week period of formal public consultation from Wednesday 5* December 2018 until Thursday 28th February 2019. Representations on these documents should be received no later than 5pm on Thursday 28th February 2019.
