WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL
(LANGBOROUGH ROAD AND GIPSY LANE, WOKINGHAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that on the 25th November 2018 Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority made an Order under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along:
1. Langborough Road, Wokingham between its junctions with A321 Denmark Street and Howard Road.

The alternative route for eastbound vehicles affected by the restriction shall be via Murdoch Road, Easthampstead Road, A329 Peach Street, A321 Market Place and A321 Denmark Street.
The alternative route for all westbound vehicles affected by the restriction shall be via A321 Denmark Street, A321 Wellington Road, Station Approach, A329 Reading Road, A329 Shute End, A329 Rectory Road, A329 Wiltshire Road, A329 Peach Street, Easthampstead Road and Murdoch Road
Works requiring this restriction will take place on 2nd December 2018, between the hours of 09:00 and 18:00.
2. Gipsy Lane, Wokingham between its junctions with Southlands Road and Fairview Road

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the restriction shall be via Gipsy Lane, Murdoch Road, Fairview Road and Gipsy Lane, or by this route in reverse.
Works requiring this restriction will take place between 3rd December and 4th December 2018, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00.
The reason for these prohibitions is allow Wokingham Borough Council contractors to undertake Lighting Column Installation work in safety.
Access for residents and businesses within the boundaries of these restrictions will be maintained at all times.
The restriction imposed by the Order shall only apply during those periods when traffic signs complying with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 are lawfully displayed.
The restrictions contained in the Order shall come into operation on the 2nd December 2018 and shall continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
