Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: B4214 And Rhea Lane, Ledbury, Temporary Road Closure Order 2019, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the B4214, Ledbury, from the junction with Burtons Lane to the junction with Hollow Lane and Rhea Lane from the junction with the B4214 to the junction with the A438. Grid Ref: B4214: 369890/239821 to 369427/241020. Rhea Lane: 369620/ 240405 to 369454/239073. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A438 Hereford Road onto the A417 at the Trumpet Inn onto the A4103 at Burley Gate onto the B4214 at Coopers Green and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to bridge replacement works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 8th of January 2019 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 13 weeks.
