ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 16A THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES (VARIOUS CHRISTMAS EVENTS ACROSS THE BOROUGH) ORDER 2018 Various Christmas Events across the Borough (Ref 18/244)
1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on 12 November 2018 made the above Order under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the order is to facilitate the holding of Christmas events in various borough roads.

3. During the dates and times specified in the schedule, no vehicle will be permitted to enter, proceed, wait or stand in the length of street described, where relevant signs and/or cones are placed.

4. Nothing in the Order will apply to:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a traffic warden; or

(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

5. Copies of the Order: -

(a) can be inspected for a period of 6 weeks by quoting 18/244 at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

(b) may be viewed on the Council's web-site at http://www.richmond.gov. uk/public_notices.

6. The prohibitions apply only during such times and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
