Herefordshire Council Notice of Making

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: A44, Mill Street, Leominster, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the A44, Mill Street, Leominster, either side of the level crossing. Grid Ref: 350014 / 259498. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Bridge Street onto Broad Street onto the B4361 Cursneh Road onto Westbury Street onto South Street onto Southern Avenue onto the A49 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to level crossing maintenance works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 18th of November 2018 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 night.
