FOOTPATH 35, DARLINGTON & FOOTPATH 3, MORTON PALMS

(TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE), ORDER 2018

Darlington Borough Council made an Order on 6th April 2018 underthe provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which was to close:

FOOTPATH 35, DARLINGTON

From Its junction on the east side of Lingfield Way eastwards then southwards to its end

FOOTPATH 3, MORTON PALMS

From its junction with Footpath 35, Darlington eastwards then southwards for 440metres

An alternative route will be signed via Lingfield Way, Morton Park and vice versa.

The Order is necessary to enable construction of a new road.

As the works are still ongoing the Secretary of State for Transport has granted an extension of the Order until the 31stAugust2019 or until such time as the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
