Y FELIN, PENTRAETH PENDERFYNIAD CYNGOR SIR YNYS MON AR ASESIAD O'R EFFAITH AMGYLCHEDDOL DAN REOLIADAU ASESU EFFEITHIAU AMGYLCHEDDOL (GWAITH GWELLA DRAENIO TIR) 2017, FEL Y CAWSANT EU DIWYGIO Mae Cyngor Sir Ynys Mon yn cyhoeddi drwy hyn eu bwriad i fynd ymlaen a'r gwaith gwella draenio dan sylw uchod.

Y bwriad yw i adeiladu sianel er mwyn ceisio atal llifogydd i stad dai Nant y Felin. Bydd y gwaith yn cynnwys tyllu sianel oddeutu 2m o led a 600m o hyd ar dir ar ochor ddeheuol stad dai Nant y Felin. Bydd y sianel yn ymestyn o'r A5025 i'r dwyrain (NGR SH52397.78030) hyd at yr Afon Nodwydd i'r Gorllewin (NGR SH51876 78065). Yn ogystal a'r sianel, bydd siambr pwrpasol yn cael ei adeiladu er mwyn dargyfeirio'r dwr i'r sianel yn ystod cyfnod o law trwm, a hefyd arllwysfa ar Ian Afon Nodwydd. Mae'r gwaith yn cyfrif fel 'gwaith gwella/addasu' dan Reoliadau Asesu Effeithiau Amgylcheddol (Gwaith Gwella Draenio Tir) 2017, fel y diwygiwyd, a felly rhaid i'r cynllun gael ei sgrinio i asesu a yw'n debygol o effeithio yn niweidiol ar yr amgylchedd. Os felly, byddai gofyn paratoi Datganiad Amgylcheddol. Ar 61 gwneud asesiad o'r effeithiau amgylcheddol tebygol, penderfynodd y Cyngor beidio a chreu Datganiad Amgylcheddol ar gyfer y cynllun yma. Y rheswm am hyn yw gan nad oes disgwyl effeithiau amgylcheddol arwyddocaol ynghlwm a'r gwaith. Mae croeso i chi weld copi o adroddiad yn asesu effeithiau amgylcheddol posib y cynllun. Rhaid i chi wneud hynny ar unrhyw adeg resymol o'r dydd a chyn pen 28 diwrnod i ddyddiad cyhoeddi'r hysbysiad yma. Gallwch weld copi o'r adroddiad am ddim yn Swyddfeydd Cyngor Ynys Mon, Llangefni, Ynys Mon, LL77 7TW. Mae croeso hefyd i unrhyw un roi barn ar effeithiau tebygol y gwaith ar yr amgylchedd. ISLE OF ANGLESEY COUNTY COUNCIL CONSTRUCTION OF A FLOOD ALLEVIATION CHANNEL ON LAND ADJACENT TO NANT Y FELIN, PENTRAETH, ANGLESEY ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT DETERMINATION BY ISLE OF ANGLESEY COUNTY COUNCIL UNDER THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (LAND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT WORKS) (AMENDMENT)

REGULATIONS 2017 Isle of Anglesey County Council hereby announce the intention to proceed with the above mentioned drainage improvement works.

The proposal involves constructing a flood alleviation channel to intercept and divert flood water away from the Nant y Felin residential area during period of high rainfall. The proposed work would involve constructing an overflow chamber in the field at the south­eastern extent of Nant y Felin, (NGR SH52397, 78030). It would also involve excavating an earth channel 2m wide and 600m long, with the excavated material used to create bunds either side. The proposed channel would extend from the A5025 to the east, past the southern extent of Nant y Felin, until it reaches Afon Nodwydd to the west (NGR SH51876 78065) where an outfall structure would b e constructed.

The works are considered 'improvement/alteration works' under the Environmental Impact Assessment (Land Drainage Improvement Works) (amendment) Regulations 2017, and therefore must be screened to determine whether significant environmental effects are likely and hence an Environmental Statement is required. Following the completion of an assessment of potential significant environmental effects it has been decided not to produce an Environmental Statement in respect of the proposed improvement works because such effects are not considered likely. Copies of the assessment of significant environmental effects report relating to the scheme may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours within 28 days of the publication of this notice at the Isle of Anglesey County Council, Council Offices, Llangefni, Ynys Mon, LL77 7TW.

Any person may, within 28 days of the publication of this Notice, express an opinion in relation to the likely environmental effects of the proposed improvement works. Any such expression of opinion must be made in writing to Mr. E. R. Thomas, Highways Department, Isle of Anglesey County Council, Council Offices, Llangefni, Ynys Men, LL77 7TW. In the preparation of any such opinion it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may be communicated to other people who may be affected by it.
