Herefordshire Council Notice of Making

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following order: U80005 West Street, Hereford, Temporary Left Turn Restriction Order 2018 to temporarily prohibit vehicles from making a left hand turn onto the U80005 West Street, Hereford when travelling eastwards on the southbound carriageway of the A49. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A49 south onto St Nicholas Street onto Berrington Street.

The said restriction is required due to the likelihood of danger to the public due to maintenance works within an underground structure. The said restriction will come into force on 21st October 2018 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 1 day.
