NOTICE OF INTENTION TO APPLY TO STOP UP THE HIGHWAY AT BATH HOUSE ROAD, BEDDINGTON, SURREY1
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton being the Highway Authority for the highway hereinafter mentioned intend to apply to the Magistrates' Court sitting at Croydon Magistrates' Court, Barclay Road, Croydon CR9 3NG on Tuesday the 22nd day of January 2019 at the hour of 10am for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising that part of the highway at Bath House Road, Beddington, Surrey be stopped up on the grounds that it is unnecessary.
The area of land which will be affected by the proposed Order is shown edged red on the plan which may (along with a copy of the draft Order) be inspected free of charge at the Council's Civic Offices at St. Nicholas Way, Sutton, SN1 1EA, from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank and public holidays) until 15th November 2018.
Any person who uses the highway specified or who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order may appear before the Magistrates' Court to raise an objection or make a representation on the application. Any person intending to appear before the Magistrates' Court at the hearing of the application is requested to inform Ms Olga Gilevska, Highways Contracts and Delivery Team Leader, Highways and Transport, Kingston & Sutton Shared Environment Service, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton, SM5 2JG before the 22nd day of January 2019 quoting reference CS/LEG/HB/2581-11.
