Expansion Proposal -Bleak Hill Primary School

Notice is given in accordance with section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 and The School Organisation (Prescribed Alterations to Maintained Schools)(England) Regulations 2013 that St.Helens Council intends to make a prescribed alteration to Bleak Hill Primary School (a Community school), Hamilton Road, Windle, St Helens, WA10 6HG from September 2019.

It is proposed that Bleak Hill Primary should be permanently expanded from two forms of entry (60 pupils admitted each year) to three forms of entry (90 pupils admitted each year). The expansion is proposed to commence in September 2019 with 75 pupils to be admitted into Reception Year then 90 pupils each Reception Year from September 2020 onwards.

The current capacity of the school is 465 and the proposed capacity is 630. The current admission number for the school is 60 and the proposed permanent admission number from September 2020 is 90.

St Helens Council would like to provide parents and local residents with an opportunity to discuss the proposal with officers at the following drop-in events:

Drop-in 1: Monday 15th October, 2018 Time: 3.30PM - 6.30PM

Drop-in 2: Wednesday 17th October, 2018 Time: 6.00PM - 8.00PM
