Herefordshire Council Notice of Making

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, under its relevant powers, have made the U71202 Marstow Lane, Marstow, Temporary Closure Order 2018 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the following road: U71202, Marstow Lane, Marstow, from Browns Cottage to St Matthew's Church. OS Grid Ref: 355360/219397. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A4137 onto the U71204 Goodrich Stopgates and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to the installation of new overhead powerline works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 22nd September 2018 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 3 weeks.
