Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the: C1261 Hoarwithy Road, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order 2018, to

temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles at the railway bridge. OS Grid Ref: 351429 / 237832. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A49 onto the C1268 Holme Lacy Road and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to a detailed examination of the bridge structure and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 4th of October 2018 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 night.
