NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, under its relevant powers, have made the U71609, Barrack Hill, Little Birch, Temporary Closure Order 2018 to

temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the following road: U71609, Barrack Hill, Little Birch, from the junction with the U71603 Little Birch Road to the junction with the U71609 Castle Nibole Road OS Grid Ref: 350396/232220. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the U71603 The Thorn onto the C1263 onto the A49 onto the C1262 Laskett Lane onto the C1261 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to the installation of a new water service connection and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 11th September 2018 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
